To achieve immense growth in the tourism sector, the government has focused on infrastructure development, skill development, generating tourist facilities on highways and in tourist destinations. The tourism government predicts higher participation of local communities in tourism activities.

Launching of tourist E-visa for citizens.
Taking part in international tourism and travel fairs and exhibitions.

To increase the training of manpower in hospitality and tourism sectors for the confinement of quality service towards the tourist.
Launch of 24/7 toll-free tourist helpline in 12 International languages including Hindi and English.
The tourism ministry has set in motion a mobile application named Swachh Paryatan, which allows citizens to report any hygiene issues at any tourist destination.
To increase or attract the tourism sector, the government has undertaken projects.

To generate growth of the tourist, monuments at the World Heritage site, Hampi is being lit up.
Karnataka government has set up a pipeline for the Nandi Hills ropeway project. It also plans on developing ropeway infrastructure at Jog Falls, Kemmangundi, and Chamundi hills.
World Tourism Day is observed on 27th September. Attractions are the main ingredient of tourism. Attractions refer to places, people, events, and things that attract tourists to destinations. Tourism is the core component for economies around the world. Tourism increases revenue for the economy.
